What changed

Every release of the kit is listed here, newest first, with what moved and why. Each release has a version number of the form 1.2.3. The first number changes when the course itself is reorganised, the second when something new is added, and the third when something is corrected.

Your copy carries its version number inside it, and Claude compares that against this site at the start of a session. When your copy is behind, Claude says so and tells you where to get the new one. It never stops you working to make you update.

Getting an update. New versions arrive in your library at the store you bought from, where you download the kit again. The updates page walks through it. That page sits behind the license check, so it asks for your license key, which is the line of letters and numbers on your receipt.

Guidebook pages have their own dates

Apple, GitHub and the rest redraw their screens whenever they feel like it, which is faster than a course can be re-released. So every guidebook page carries the date it was last checked against the real screen, at the bottom of the page. A page checked recently is a page somebody has just walked through. An older date is a page that still works and might show you a button in a slightly different place, which is why each page says what to do when the screen does not match its pictures. Page checks land between releases and are not listed here one by one.

v0.1.0, prelaunch build

2026-08-29. The first assembled version of the whole course, built for testing before the public release. Everything below exists and has been written; the run-throughs that prove it on a clean Mac come next.
